Bolognese
You need:
2 lb ground meat
½ tbsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 cup carrots, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup mushrooms, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
½ tbsp basil
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
½ cup coconut milk or other milk of choice, or ¼ cup cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Step by step
Brown the ground meat in a large pan.
Remove the meat from the pan and add the oil, onion, carrots, and celery. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring often.
Add the garlic, mushrooms, and bell pepper and cook for about 3 minutes.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, garlic powder and the meat back into the pan.
Cover and let cook for about 15-20 minutes. Add in the milk or cream and salt and pepper.
